Traditionally, South Indian food is known for its exceptional blend of flavor, color, seasoning, nutritional balance, fragrance, taste, and visual appeal. The dosa is one of the most ancient dishes and is generally believed to hail from the Temple Streets of Udupi, Karnataka.

Dosa is often pronounced as 'dosay'. The dosas in other areas are thin and crunchy whereas the authentic and original dosa features crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft and spongy inside. The savory pancake is eaten for breakfast, dinner, or as a snack.
